Guitar Hero: Metallica has become reality |

No this is not a joke. The Guitar Hero series is not letting us have any breathing room for the next several months. We’ve seen the DS iteration take the form of Guitar Hero: On Tour, followed by the release of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and we’ll round out the year with the latest true sequel, Guitar Hero: World Tour. Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Edward Woo was shuffling through a few SEC filings for Activision when he stumbled upon a piece of juicy info that confirmed the title’s existence. The filing said, “”In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms.”
This statement confirms that Guitar Hero: Metallica could very well be available before the end of March in 2009. Since by that time we will already have Guitar Hero’s new instruments, maybe they will be incorporated into this title. There’s no reason to move backwards. So far the games paper confirmation is the only information available.
I don’t expect to see any big pushes until after Activision hypes up its upcoming Guitar Hero games first. Be sure to ride the lightning (Ha! A pun!) back to TVGB for all the info on this one.

I like Metallica, but what happened to just downloading extra content. Does Metallica or Aerosmith really need their own seperate games?
