MadWorld
PlatinumGames is a new Japanese development company founded by the former heads of Capcom’s disbanded Clover Studios. Having previously been responsible for games like Okami and Viewtiful Joe, much has been expected of the company, and boy did they deliver. MadWorld’s stark black and white visuals and light-hearted brutality (those words do go together apparently) are unlike anything currently available on the Wii, or any other console for that matter. With such an obvious emphasis on violence, it’s interesting that PlatinumGames chose the Wii to be its exclusive home, and serves as further evidence of developers beginning to take the console seriously.
