Though for many E3 hit its stride a good while ago, it remains a big event on the gaming calendar, even if as a shell of its former self. Sony is getting pumped for the event and has kicked things off by dropping a brief list of PS3 titles that it will be showcasing at the event in July. Right now it is literally just a list of names, none of which are especially surprising either, including Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, PixelJunk Eden, Resistance 2, SIREN: Blood Curse Episode #1 and SOCOM: Confrontation.
The press release also made the assurance that this is but a section of what Sony will be showing off at the event, which either means they have a couple of big suprises or an armada of teensy uninteresting ones. They really need to push their titles for the coming holiday season and E3 still grabs a fair amount (read: a lot) of attention, meaning taking advantage of the “two plus two still does equal four” logic and having a big presence from Sony’s is fully expected.
