PlayStation Experience hits the road
BY Alix MinjarezJune 20th, 2008 More on:

If you’re one of the many PlayStation owners who is too broke to even look at a game you want without bursting into tears then you’re in luck. Sony will be sending out their  PlayStation Experience and PlayStation Patrol trucks to raid concert and sporting events in various cities. Both trucks (which are said to be pretty large), will have various upcoming games that will be delivering hands-on action.

The PlayStation Experience truck will feature lots of games that will be focusing on community and social interactions. If you have a music bug in you, Singstar and Rock Band will be the games for you. There’s even said to be a contest for all you Rock Band fans to show off your mad skills on a side stage at a concert. But those two games aren’t going to be the main attractions — the biggest community game that is going to be shown off will be a playable pre-release version of LittleBigPlanet. Some other games that will be featured will be the recently released Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Pain, echochrome, and PixelJunk Monsters.

The PlayStation Patrol truck will be all about competition. Two 52 inch LCD TVs for those intense head-to-head combats will be placed in the PlayStation Player’s Lounge. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be the main game of the on this truck, with racing seats and Logitech Driving Force GT wheels installed at game stations. Other playable titles will be available on 40 inch LCD screens.

Check out Sony’s Events and Promotions for more information on where the trucks will be heading.
