Not too long ago, the ominous countdown clock on the Chrono Trigger Japanese site stopped ticking and now, the first trailer from the upcoming Super Nintendo RPG remake has descended upon us. The trailer doesn’t show off any of the DS exclusive modes is expected to have but is more of an introduction to some of the characters that you’ll meet on your adventure.

The small amounts of gameplay footage that is shown is very reminiscent of the original version as far as looks go. Usually with DS trailers we see both screens in action at once, so chances are the actual gameplay is yet to be revealed. But for now, it’s a nice trip down memory lane and something to get excited for when Chrono Trigger DS is released this winter.
