The song of Afrika
BY Dan HaspertJuly 8th, 2008 More on:

So there’s this game called Afrika that takes place in, well, Africa…I think. The game is supposed to land on store shelves in Japan this August, but few details about the game have been released. What we do know is that the game is a kind of a safari sim, and that the music is quite lovely. How lovely you ask? Well, Sony has released a video of the recording session for the main theme of the game.

The maestro is Wataru Hokoyama, who will be unknown to many gamers but has been conducting and writing music for films, TV, and concert for quite some time. He has also written scores for several award winning films at the Cannes film festival, and Sundance.

The North America and EU release date for Afrika is still unannounced.
