Lionhead launches new website, goodies ensue
BY Dan HaspertJuly 9th, 2008 More on:

Fable 2 developer Lionhead’s website has received a face lift and along with that, some new pieces of info were released. The first is the news that if you pre-order the standard or collector’s edition of the game, you will receive the Fable 2 Pub Games for free. For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, check out Se’s post about the Pub Games here.

The second bit of news is the info surrounding the collector’s edition of the game. Along with the Pub Games (which will also be embedded on the standard edition) you will receive a bonus disc with a behind-the-scenes ‘making of’ video, a collectible Hobbe figure, a LIVE trial card and additional in-game content. This edition will retail at 79.99 USD with the standard version going at the usual 59.99 USD.

Lionhead has also released Tales of Albion (Microsoft’s Silverlight application needed), a collection of lore from different areas of Fable’s history. The first piece of lore released is “The destruction of ancient Albion” with “The fall of the Heroes”, and the culture of present-day Albion to be released at a later date. These stories will help bridge the gap between the original Fable and Fable 2 and get you up to date with what has happened in the 500 years since the first game.

Fable 2 release date is still TBA, hopefully we’ll get a firm date at E3 next week.
