Deep Silver invites us to Ride to Hell
BY Greg Lockwood Jul. 11th, 2008 More on:

I’m just going to come out and say it. I think Deep Silver has come up with the most awesome game idea ever. I had never even heard of Deep Silver before today, and a lot of you probably haven’t either, which isn’t surprising because they’ve never released a game in the US before. Thankfully for all of us, they decided to make Ride to Hell their first US bound game ever. What exactly is Ride to Hell? It’s an upcoming free-roaming motorcycle gang war game set in the 1960’s. How did no one think of this before? Granted, I am a little biased towards the 60’s setting, as I was not alive back then but have always been borderline obsessed with that era, but this concept is fantastic

Ride To Hell will not be a half-hearted attempt at a biking game either, as Cathy Tische, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Deep Silver says, “They are pulling out all the stops to bring the biker gang world alive in Ride to Hell, from the 1960s art style, music and scenery to the completely raw and intense game play.” There’s nothing I love more than the spirit of “Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘N Roll”, and it looks like Ride to Hell is aiming to deliver those things and more.

There’s not much word on the gameplay itself so far, but there will be a “multitude of different vehicles” and the objectives will center around “protecting their turf, their brothers and their machines from rival gangs”. The only downside to all this is that it will be a while before we get to immerse ourselves in the world of motorcycle gangs. Ride to Hell is not scheduled to ship until Q2 of 2009. But when it does ship, it will do so on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
