Apogee Software back in action
BY Brittany VincentJuly 15th, 2008 More on:

Do you remember Commander Keen? Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure? How about Duke Nukem? Apogee Software is now back in the game with their announcement of the Duke Nukem Trilogy for the DS and PSP. Set for a Summer 2009 release, it will feature three new missions: Chain Reaction, Proving Ground, and Critical Mass.

Not so much of a fan of Duke and you want to see more of Apogee’s other works revived? You’re in luck–right now they feel that it’s the perfect time to bring back over 30+ of their legendary releases from over the years, along with some new additions.

Terry Nagy, co-founder of Apogee has the right idea: “This marks a new beginning for a famous publisher with a history of market-making innovation. I can’t think of a better character than Duke or a better franchise than the Trilogy to usher in a new era for Apogee.”

Here’s hoping that Apogee can deliver a fresh set of titles to satiate our gaming hunger. The real question is, can they deliver and chew bubblegum? Let’s hope they’re all out of gum.
