Jack Tretton: “PS3 is all about exclusives” |

In what seems like a peculiar statement, especially after Microsoft’s own show-stealing Final Fantasy XIII announcement, Sony’s Jack Tretton let everyone know the real reason to own a PS3 - the exclusives. Even after all of fluster on message boards, Jack was unfazed. He indirectly addressed the 400lb elephant in the room and threw a couple of jabs at those who doubt PlayStation 3’s hold on exclusive content. He even went so far as to say that while exclusive downloadable content (GTAIV) is “nice”, it’s not a difference maker and “exclusive games are where it’s at”.
Hmmm… I don’t know about you guys, but I have a feeling that might have bene typed up BEFORE the FFXIII announcement hit home. The show has just begun, however, so let’s see what else he’s got.

Exclusives is where its at, right jack? First of all i own the 360 and ps3 but when I have the choice I buy my games for the ps3. I hated and bashed 360 for years..until gears of war came out. I shut my mouth and went and bought one. Not sure if microsoft gets exclusives for a lot less because of the bigger install base (which isn’t all much bigger anymore) but sony really needs 2 get more aggressive at securing exclusives. If GTA IV was a ps3 exclusive Im sure sony would have at least a few million more systems sold.

hey ps3 fan. Don`t worry because final fantasy viii on xbox 360 will require how many disk vs ps3 with blue ray do you think your going to have the same game experiences. I think your going to see which consoles is better! PS3, PS2, PSONE, PSP, FOR EVER.

All we are going to see with FFXIII is 2 version mostly identical, 1 one on a single blue-ray disc and another on multiple dvds, won’t change much of the game experience to change disc every 10 hours lol. Since all ps3 fanboys have to be proud of is free bad online play and a blue-ray. If MGS4 comes to 360 this will be the end of all worthy ps3 exclusives and microsoft is going further ahead with what they just announced at E3. I would like to love the ps3 but everything good on it is also on 360 with better graphics, better online play and a far better controller….But, i may sound like a 360 fanboy but i’m not those are just simple facts and this is making me worrying, if consoles exclusive becomes a thing of the past, what is the point to have multiples systems on the market and without competition, this will slow the advance of new features on consoles and gamers will be the big loosers….
