One of the points Sony was trying to drive home during their press conference is that the PLAYSTATION Network is becoming more and more important. To drive that point home, a new Ratchet & Clank game has been announced which will be available exclusively on PSN. Of course, being a PSN game, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, will be shorter in length than a regular PlayStation 3 game, but it will still have all the intensity and quality as Tools of Destruction.

Bearing the Ratchet & Clank Future name, it is clear that Quest for Booty will be a follow up to Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, picking up exactly where the last title ended. It’s noted that while there will be plenty of action in the title, there will be a greater emphasis on platforming and exploration, which isn’t a bad thing since platforming has always been one of the series’ strong points.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty will be available for $14.99 on the PLAYSTATION Store sometime this summer.
