Reggie did something that Wii owners have been hoping he would do for some time now.  He addressed the sentiment that is floating around the industry that the Wii is nothing more than a fad. Speaking at Nintendo’s E3 conference today, Reggie’s booming voice declared that the Wii is changing the industry to the point of spawning imitators in every corner of the market (*cough*Avatars*cough*).  But that’s not all he said.  He also made what could be considered an indirect jab at the competition by stating that the Wii being looked at as a fad was merely wishful thinking on their parts.

Either way, the future is looking bright for Nintendo as they continue down the path that they have paved in gold-plated DS’s.  What’s next?
