Sony’s E3 conference - everything that happened
BY Rain AndersonJuly 15th, 2008 More on:

With Microsoft’s and Nintendo’s E3 press conferences now behind us, there’s just one more of the big three to go - Sony’s. Do they have some kind of an announcement up their sleeve, one that would rival that of Microsoft’s Avatars/Dashboard re-imagining and the Final Fantasy XIII megaton, will we get a solid release date for the public beta of Home’s , will we see the rumored break-away controller? Let’s find out!

  • Event begins very nicely, 7 bigger screens (and many many little ones under each of them) on stage showing all kinds of games from both the PS3 and PSP: BioShock, LBP, RE5, Socom, Madden, Killzone 2, Force Unleashed etc etc.
  • Jack Trenton takes the stage, says they’ve spent months on this conference, had a 12-hour practice last night, says they have the “biggest exclusives in the industry,” goes over the history of the PlayStation brand.

  • “Greatest Hits” announced (Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Assassin’s Creed, Oblivion etc for $29.99).

  • Buzz for PS3 in September.
  • PS2 LEGO Batman bundle announced for $149.
  • Time to see what PLAYSTATION Network has in store for us. Unified account coming.
