WiiMusic makes some noise
BY Mike Wehner Jul. 15th, 2008 More on:

Miyamoto graced the stage with his presence today at Nintendo’s E3 press conference to introduce us to the new WiiMusic title for the Wii. The two gameplay elements we saw consisted of a player using the Wii remote and Nunchuk to play a set of realistically-rendered virtual drums, complete with a balance board-activated drum pedal, as well as Miyamoto himself taking a shot at playing the saxophone, piano, violin, guitar, as well as a huge drum.

Miyamoto assured the crowd that you won’t be having to follow any crazy musical notes (ala Guitar Hero) and focuses more on the exprience of playing free-form.  You push the buttons whenever you want and the the song as you want and the Wii will compensate and mold the song around your own playing.

Was anyone else “meh” at seeing this?
