Bungie working on 3 projects, no big announcement at PAX
BY Dan HaspertJuly 25th, 2008 More on:

This year’s E3 was to be the place Bungie would announce its next big game. Alas half way through, Microsoft, the publisher of Bungie’s unknown project, pulled the plug on the announcement to save the big unveil for a later date. While this postponement would allow the game to receive the publicity it deserves, fans were obviously extremely disappointed in this turn of events.

Some hope remained as speculation was rampant that we would not have to wait long as the big announcement would come only a few weeks from now at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). But again, our hopes have been dashed as Bungie has set the record straight, stating that they in fact have “no plans to make any big announcements or huge reveals at PAX this year. While we will have some Halo 3 multiplayer stuff for you to check out, this is not going to be the “big announcement” many of our fans are clamoring for.”

Another interesting piece of information shared by Bungie was the fact they are currently working on three projects, “At the moment we do have three distinct projects underway within Bungie - some familiar, some not. Some on a closer horizon, some quite far off.” What these projects are is anyone’s guess, but rumor has it that one of them could very well be a Wii game as Bungie has expressed interest in developing for the platform in the past.

The billion dollar question is when and about which game will Bungie (be allowed to) start talking about?
