Capcom has announced that Bionic Commando Rearmed will be released on both Xbox LIVE Arcade and PSN in just over two weeks — 360 owners will be able to download the game on August 13 and PS3 owners the following day, on August 14.

Bionic Commando Rearmed offers a lot more than its NES counterpart — even with the new souped up visuals, the game will still be a good ol’ side-scroller, but next to the 50 or so timed challenge rooms, Capcom is also implementing new weapons, music, and a 2-player cooperative mode along with a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. And what’s a multiplayer mode without leaderboards? Rearmed has that too.
