After the announcement that Final Fantasy XIII would be coming to the Xbox 360 shook the earth to its very core at E3, details have begun to trickle out surrounding just what shape a 360 port of the game would take. At a press conference in LA, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase went into more detail about Square Enix’s plans to bring the game to the 360, explaining that they wanted to “bring as much fun to as many people as possible.”
Kitase gave no clues at all as to a possible release date, claiming that the game was too early in development. However, he did say that producing the Japanese PS3 version was the company’s top priority, and only once that was finished would they begin to think about localizing and porting the game for western audiences.
When commenting on the release schedule, he said, “As for the timing between the U.S. and Europe, we will try to make it as close as possible. We’ll try to expedite localization.”

Another great thing to come from Final Fantasy masterminds is the graphic novel “Matek: The Magic Flute” by Yoshitaka Amano. I finally got my hands on a copy last week and am blown away! The detailing on the drawings are beautiful. Any TRUE fan of Final Fantasy should pick up a copy, trust me Amano does not disappoint!
