Super Mario Bros. tops all time best gaming list |

A new UK poll that over 2,000 gamers participated in shows that Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. is given the most respect when the topic of discussion is the best game ever made. Out of the 20 games that made the list, Mario stomped the competition and came out on top.
The poll, conducted by Onepoll.com, showed that the majority of the people polled prefer ‘Old Skool’ games to today’s more graphically and technologically advanced games. Although some games from the current generation did make the list. Anyone want to guess which ones?

My Thom mocking sense tingled so I came! What British thing are we making fun of now? Nothing specific? How about Cricket, I mean what the heck is up with that?
Wii Play is on this list. I’m disregarding it.

Nah, what a crappy list they came out with… I mean, come on! Wii play and Wii sports? those shouldnt even be close to the best titles ever list. And where is Punch out! thats your number one right there, or maybe number two only to Mario 3.

Whoa! Stop the hating on GTA: San Andreas that game was the best in the series IMO, I’d put that on the list. You gotta think, the people polled aren’t super hardcore like us so some of the list makes sense (Wii Sports, Wii Play). Those games are going to be like how Super Mario Bros was when it released with NES there’s a whole generation of gamers coming up (the younger kids) that are going to remember that and have fond memories of those games.
The only game I’m kinda meh on that list is Mario Kart 64 to me the SNES one should be on there.

I’m in the UK and frankly I’m ashamed of some of the titles on that list. Why GTA: San Andreas? Personally I preferred GTA3, but Wii Play? C’mon…how ridiculous! I don’t think a list from any other country would be too different in any case.

I can understand Wii Play being on the list. It will be remembered by many gamers the way I remember Super Mario Bros on the NES.
But Wii Play? I have it, but I got it for the controller that comes with it. The games were meh at best.
