Sony has updated their firmware for the PS3 once again, and by my count that marks the third update this month (if you count an update to fix an update an update). While the other updates have brought with them new and exciting additions to the system, including trophies and in-game XMB, this latest one simply “…improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software.”

So while not something new and exciting, keeping your PS3 running at top efficiency is always a good thing.
