Square Enix has announced that a demo for Final Fantasy XIII will be coming out in March 2009 in Japan, attached to a Blu-ray copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Also announced is the exclusivity of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Technically, the announcement came at the end of the Versus XIII trailer that read “PlayStation 3 only worldwide,” which no doubt puts a stop to PS3 enthusiasts burning effigies of Square Enix characters.

And then there’s the announcement of Final Fantasy Agito XIII for the PSP. The game was originally on mobile phones and will now take the leap onto the handheld. Agito XIII is not a continuation of an exact storyline, but rather a separate story with similar themes, and is one of the three titles that make up the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII compilation. No word yet on a release window yet.
