Last week, an image from the Official PlayStation Magazine made its way to the net, with the following message stamped on it: “Valve’s survival horror game Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, but EA will be taking on development duties in-house.” Unfortunately, turns out that what was left off the image was the title of the section that message appeared on, which turned out to be the rumor section of all things. And that rumor has now been denied by Valve.

Marketing director Doug Lombardi has told IGN that “there is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in production.” He didn’t rule out the future possibility but at least for now, there will be no co-op zombie slaying in PS3 owners’ future.
