Game development can be like a roller coaster ride sometimes. One minute a game is on track and everything is rosy, the next it’s delayed and rumors start to swirl that it will never see the light of day. The Wii has its fair share of promising titles that are threatening to go the way of the Dodo. Whether it’s financial hardship or even emotional distress that’s the source of the problem, the result is the same; games with enormous potential may never reach retail shelves. Here are some of the most troubled examples.

Brought up things I haven’t thought of before, very interesting. Wii Motor Sports and Katamari I could live without (the latter will probably come as a different version) but it would be a shame if the other ones didn’t hit the shelves.

You left out Sadness!
I kid I kid. I don’t consider concept art a game either.

You forgot to mention that the island used for Airplane was also the same island that’s in Wii Fit and presumably the same island in Resort

It’s disappointing…Nintendo is the Godfather of video gaming. Even with these new companies emerging…XBox, Playstation, etc. you’d think the developers at Nintendo could keep up, but it doesn’t seem as though they can. Or maybe it’s because they want to appeal to the family aspect of gaming, which is where most of the games seem to be directed. Look at the basic Wii Sports, Wii Play, even Mario Kart. Either way, the Wii is a great new approach to gaming and I just hope they can get some new games so it continues to thrive.
