Ah, downloadable content. The very word sends a shiver up my spine. To me, alot of DLC is just a way to send out an unfinished game and then update it later with all the features it should have had in the first place, and then charge you extra for it. Now, I’m not saying it’s ALL bad, as I’m guilty of downloading plenty of content myself, but that’s not something I’m particularly proud of either.

Someone who IS rather proud of thier DLC achievements would be Microsoft. At the Gamesfest gala, MS disclosed that their DLC business model has raked in a healthy $240 Million, with $140m of that coming within the last 12 months. That’s alot of Rock Band track backs right there!
