Extremely large NES game collection for sale

When I look at the above picture I just want to knock the whole thing down and swim around in the mess Scrooge McDuck-style. Isn’t it wonderful how beautiful stacked NES cartridges really are? This collection is supposed to contain “every NES cartridge ever made in a gray cartridge” and the extremely dedicated owner is now putting it up for sale on Ebay. Apart from all the official NES games ever produced, the buyer will also get a complete NES system including the posters and warranty, and two review copies of Final Fantasy 2 and California Raisins, which never were released. It doesn’t get more frickin’ hardcore than that. (All games are listed and described here.)

Exactly why the collection is up for sale is unknown, but apparently it has to do with some not so fun personal reasons. “This feat took me years and thousands to complete. This is my most prized collection which I do not want to give up, but I have some serious family issues where money is needed now,” the seller writes in the ad description.

If you want to be the proud owner to the collection, all you have to do is to head over to Ebay and join the bidding (or buy instantly for the modest price of $3,800.) Think twice before you buy it though, especially if you have a loved one - he or she might not be too happy about having to buy a new apartment to get the space needed.

Needing to sell something like this must be heartbreaking. I hope they get enough to cover what they need. I can sympathize and for this seller I shed a tear. What a beautiful collection to part with.

Ugg, I have like 1/10 of the games he has an I don’t want to part with any of them. Sad for this guy.
