Now that videogames are big money, famous actors are popping up more and more in them. Usually, and probably thankfully, these actors are just doing voice overs and we don’t see their actual faces. However, the Command & Conquer series has a long and proud tradition of featuring cut scenes with live actors. It’s something we don’t see too often in games and one of the things that makes Command & Conquer so unique. The videos are usually hilariously cheesy and up until recently, really terribly acted. Now though EA has some money and they’re throwing it the way of big name B grade movie actors, instantly raising the quality of the video from D grade.

Actors for the upcoming game include Tim Curry, Jenny McCarthy, George Takai and a professional wrestler. When I first saw EA’s announcement I almost cried as the cheesy factor for the videos is one of the greatest aspects of them and the press release made it sound like they had hired real famous people, but with this line-up it will be damn near impossible to not be cheesy. Anything with a Rocky Horror Picture Show alum has to be chock full of camp.

The cast of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 follows (in alphabetical order by last name): Gemma Atkinson (the UK’s Hollyoaks), Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Hunt for Red October), Andrew Divoff (LOST), Kelly Hu (X2, The Scorpion King), Jenny McCarthy (Scream 3, former Playboy Playmate of the Year), Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale), Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Juno), Autumn Reeser (The OC), Peter Stormare (Prison Break, Armageddon), George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes), and two of the most recognizable names in competitive mixed martial arts Randy “The Natural” Couture (former UFC Heavyweight champion) and Gina “Conviction” Carano (Undefeated Elite XC fighter, American Gladiators).
