Prince of Persia shows off
BY Mike Wehner Aug. 21st, 2008 More on:

Prince of Persia is becoming quite the buzzing franchise as of late. Not only is there brand a new, current-gen title poised bring the series back from the brink, but there’s also a blockbuster movie in the works. The video above should get you excited for the former, and my apologies to all those chest hair fans out there.

Ubisoft presented conference goers at this year’s Leipzig shin-dig with with a rather generous demonstration of the entire first area of the game. As you would expect from any other Prince title, you’ll see plenty of interesting acrobatics as well as a showcase of the new graphical style that has been implimented. It goes without saying that the aesthetics are rather impressive and really do bring alot of personality to the table. Will the final product make us all care about the fate of our dear prince once again? Only time will tell.

This is what they showed me at E3 and really this video doesn’t do the game justice. You can only experience this on a big hi-def tv to truly realize how amazing the game is.

I am seriously looking forward to coming home from work and just sitting down on my couch, leaning back, and playing this game. It has “Orgasmic fun” written all over it.

Purdy as always, but fighting the same dude over and over is starting to get kind of old. I hope Ubi won’t pull another Assassin’s on us.

Footage like this makes me lament even more the fact that I own only a Wii.

Mike - buy me an Xbox 360.
