Quantum of Solace box art revealed
BY Matthew Razak Aug. 28th, 2008 More on:

Normally I don’t consider box art something worthy of a news post - it’s just never been that important to me. However, I promised to bring you all the Quantum of Solace news I could and anything with Daniel Craig holding a large gun gets me excited. So here we have it. A little bland me thinks, but still that shot of Craig with the gun is pretty much one of the most bad ass things ever. Maybe the special edtion will have a bit more detail to it, but I’m not upset with this at all.

I cannot wait for this movie. I’ll pass on the game though.

Leaves a very lazy taste in my mouth but I guess they had to use it for the sake of recognizability (is that a word?)

I think Daniel Craig kind of looks like a pumped up Marlon Brando. The box looked rather dull..

      >sigh< You guys have no appreciation of art, style or zeitgeist. Do you want another run of the mill box that will get lost in amongst all of the others? Let me guess - you all think it needs a bright orange explosion and some Breasticles(TM). Although I can fully get behind the Breasticles(TM) idea I think this box is great. It will stand out brilliantly and is very indicative of the new (and brilliant - thanks to Bourne) direction that Bond is going. The austerity of the monochrome will set it apart from most other boxes and is also representative of the stripped down nature of the new films. I could go on but I can tell your attention is wavering…

I’m buying a game, not a movie. If they’d done the same pic but used rendered in-game assets then I’d likely be fine with it. But this is just lazy.

Andrew: Yeah, some bright orange explosions would definitely have done it ;)
