Fragile looks great, even in Japanese
BY Matthew RazakSeptember 4th, 2008 More on:

If you asked me a few years ago where I would be getting my RPG fixes once the new generation of consoles came out I would of smiled knowingly, thinking you asked me a trick question. “Everyone knows that the Playstation and Sony have the best RPGs,” would have been my answer. Well look where we are now. I’d most likely recommend a 360 to anyone looking for some good RPG fun and now that developers are actually developing for the Wii it looks like Nintendo might once again be a hot spot for RPG gamers around the world.

Take a look at the new trailer for Namco Bandai’s Fragile (above) and the older one from a few months ago (below). I haven’t been this intrigued by an RPG since I first saw Skies of Arcadia (the greatest RPG ever) on the old Dreamcast. Not only does the game, which is described as a “ruin exploration” RPG, look absolutely stunning, with a unique art style and crisp graphics, but it’s a far cry from the looks of most other RPGs out there both in gameplay and graphics. I’m also interested to see how the flashlight mechanic will work with the Wii’s controls. Could it possibly be that developers are actually implenting the Wiimote in clever and innovative ways?
