Take-Two stated the obvious today with the announcement that its spring blockbuster GTAIV was in fact a huge success and did in fact sell millions copies, 10 million to be exact. The last big sales milestone was hit back in May when the company announced sales of 8.5 million, which means sales have slowed down considerably in the last couple of months. But with numbers like that, who’s complaining?

The company also announced that the release of its upcoming GTA spin-off Chinatown Wars, the series’ first excursion on the Nintendo DS, would be hitting stores by February 2009. In a conference call with analysts, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder was quoted saying that both “the Japanese version of Grand Theft Auto IV and new GTA title, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, will be released in Q1 fiscal 2009.”
