Was everyone in the U.S. jealous when they heard about the European Collector’s Editon of Far Cry 2? Well stop whining because on Oct. 21 not only will U.S. gamers be able to pick up the game, but will get the limited edtion for free if they pre-order it from GameStop. It’s not the same, but it’s still jam-packed with goodies like bonus levels, a map and fancy packaging. Sadly, wooden boxes will not make the trip across the Atlantic. Probably has something to do with the sea air.
This isn’t the first time Ubi has offered up the limited edition of a game for free just for pre-ordering. They’re also doing it for the new Prince of Persia, and I for one am absolutely fine with Ubi making a habit of this as I pre-order all the time. If any other companies wish to jump on board this trend then I will applaud them also. In this case, players are getting three more hours of gameplay just for laying down some money a bit earlier. That, my friends, is what we call awesome.

If there’s no box, I want a fox?
I like stuff and I was disappointed that the box is only for Europe. But I don’t like “making of dvd.” Yeah, didn’t GoW have that on ONE disc? Not extra…psssh!
