Project Origin gets the F.E.A.R.
BY Dennis LesicaSeptember 8th, 2008 More on:

This little nugget of fun comes straight from the “When Things Go Right” department. Remember when Monolith announced they were making a sequel to F.E.A.R. but couldn’t use the name because the rights were owned by someone else? Well, with the recent power merge of Activision and Vivendi — Activision Blizzard, if you’re nasty — there was a little fat trimming that went on involving Sierra, who were part of Vivendi and held the rights to the F.E.A.R. name. Seeing a sweet opportunity, Warner Bros. swooped in, picked up the fumble and slapped it on its rightful owner.

Now there will be no confusion when F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin hits store shelves next February for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 that it is a true sequel to the original F.E.A.R. and its spooky, supernatural FPSness. Be sure to check out our renamed image gallery for saucy screens that involve lots of guns, spooky and more blood than you can shake an Evil Dead 2 at.
