Rock Band gets price cut in Europe

Pink Floyd once wrote “Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.” Now it’s getting easier on the wallet for rockers to grab their choice of instrument and start shredding with Rock Band, as Harmonix today announced a price cut on the Instrument Edition for the Xbox 360. The new price will be €139.99 in Europe and £109.99 in the United Kingdom (That’s around 200 USD.)

The game is also set to ship for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Wii in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and Luxembourg. That means the best Guitar Hero franchise game is getting cheaper and more accessible - as it should be considering its huge success. Calling it the best Guitar Hero game ever is purely empirical, based on the dangerously influential words uttered by Mr. Wallace, the biggest Rock Band fan that has ever walked the earth.

Don’t dare forget to check out his infamous weekly feature Faking the Band.

Nice to see this. Far too often, our brothers and sisters ‘cross the pond have been shafted in terms of price and availability of videogames.

    And thanks for the name-drop!
