Take-Two and EA terminate discussions

It seems that the honeymoon is over before it even started. EA and Take-Two, who were reportedly talking behind the scenes, have finally gone their seperate ways after EA decided to not make a proposal to aquire the gaming company. This after many months of them bidding over and over to buy the company. Take-Two, after rejecting all of EA’s buyouts, had given EA a presentation on all they had to offer and what they believed EA should pay for Take-Two. EA clearly did not agree and thus left the table.

In way of explanation John Riccitiello, Chief Executive Officer of EA, explained that EA is going to have an amazing year and that they’ve got great games coming out. Not really sure what that has to do with anything, but I guess EA just wants to tell the world they’re going to be just fine without Take-Two. I’m pretty sure that was never in doubt. I’m personally just glad the whole thing is over. Do you know how much it costs to hire Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner?
