Tom Clancy’s EndWar is giving away a whole lot of stuff

Most of the time when a game launches there is some contest running along with it where you can win the game and a system to play it on, maybe a few t-shirts. That’s nice and all but the guys over at Ubisoft are upping the bar a bit, much like they did with their free limited edition offers. See, simply by joining the EndWar Community over at the game’s site, participants will be entered into a sweepstakes to win a trip for two to Shanghai where they’ll visit the Ubisoft Pacific Rim Headquarters. Yes, the Shanghai in China. I’ve been to Shanghai and it’s f-ing awesome. In fact, if you win I may come and mug you and pretend to be you so that I can go.

Don’t feel bad if you don’t win the trip though because there are five runners-up who will be winning a Xbox 360 Pro gaming console with an EndWar faceplate and 1,000 other people will be getting a swag pack with cool stuff in it. All in all it’s a pretty great contest because - well, mostly because you can WIN A TRIP TO SHANGHAI.

In other EndWar news, Nov. 7 has been announced as the game’s European release date which will cause the game to go head to head with both Gears of War 2 and possibly Resistance 2. Gulp. Maybe whoever gets to go to Shanghai can ask them why they thought that would be a good idea.
