This week’s update doesn’t have any full games to purchase for Europe, but there are demos to keep us occupied until then. First up is a demo for Fracture. Fracture is about a conflict between the east side of the world who prefer to use cybernetics in order to survive in the rapidly changing environment, and the west who thinks the best way to survive is to advance the human genome. The selling point of Fracture is the ability to raise or lower the ground itself to provide cover or take the higher ground. The demo is a little over 850 MB.

Europe gets a couple more demos for Soul Calibur IV and NBA Live ‘09 to play around with.

Infinity Ward is offering a special deal of Call of Duty 4 players to kick off its Double XP weekend. It’s dropping the price of the Variety Map Pack for CoD 4 to $4.99 for the entire week. The pack includes four maps called Creek, Broadcast, Killhouse, and Chinatown.

Even though Mercenaries 2 is already out, a demo for the game is also up. It’ll take up over 1 GB of our ever so fleeting hard drive space. The demo drops us right into the war zone as Mattias complete with assault rifle and rocket launcher. We have about 12 minutes (give or take) to complete the objective before the demo ends.
