New Dead Space dev diary and Ultra Limited Edition
BY Matthew Razak Sep. 25th, 2008 More on:

We’ve been cramming Dead Space down your throats for a bit now but there are valid reasons for this. One, we’re pretty sure readers are enjoying checking out the game, and two, the game is looking and feeling amazing. With that in mind, we bring you a developers diary in which they discuss the zero gravity gameplay. With all the dismemberment and scares going on, the zero gravity gameplay gets a bit overlooked, but it’s actually a really impressive part of the game.

Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield talk about how much effort went into making the zero-G stuff really realistic. I’ve never been in a zero gravity environment so I can’t tell you if it actually is, but I can tell you that it’s a ton of fun to jump around in. From what I played, they also made something that could be really confusing and aggravating into an easy to play but challenging environment. Now then, are you excited enough for the game to lay down $150 bucks for the Ultra Limited Edition of which there are only 1,000 copies being released?

And oh, EA released a bunch of sweet looking artwork today as well. Head to the gallery to see what they’re all about.
