Bayonetta gets risky
BY Antonio HernandezOctober 9th, 2008 More on:

If you have ever wanted to create a game, and wondered how to completely alienate the female audience, just watch this teaser for Bayonetta. The game stars a female protagonist with, what looks like, symbiote-like clothing. By far, this must be one the most sexualized characters I ever seen in a video game. However, what makes this trailer interesting is not her clothing(or lack of), but the first glimpse at gameplay it offers. No doubt comparisons to Devil May Cry can be made, but there looks to be a few things that make it stand apart. Such as, I don’t know…revolvers that strap to her heels? I’ll admit this trailer has perked my interest and hopefully we’ll get a better look at the storyline, and not just a bunch of glamor shots.

I don’t know if this makes me a misogynist, but that was exciting, and I’m genuinely looking forward to this game!

I’m not completely alienated, and I’m a girl. Bring on the boobies! I can’t wait to play this.

Yeah, her clothing is actually her hair, which she controls with magic. She uses her hair for her attacks as well, so when she does really crazy stuff like making a guillotine, she gets more naked. And no, I’m not making this up.
