Another day, another prediction. Rumors surrounding a new Wii in HD had started brewing about a week ago, around the same time that Nintendo announced the DSi. What They Play claimed that they had the skinny on a the new system which would be called Wii HD and feature a better graphics processor than the current model. Speculation had stated that the change would be much like the original Game Boy to the Game Boy Advance.

Analyst Micheal Pachter has decided to add his expertise into the fold and threw down the gauntlet stating “[..] I’m absolutely convinced there is a Wii HD coming.” Pachter believes that such a move would pretty much be Nintendo sticking it to Sony and Microsoft leaving them in the wake of the their systems’ success. The question is, how long until third parties jump on board?
