Despite throwing age old cliches like “keep your friends close, and your enemies closer” and “you don’t find him, he finds you” at our faces, the new Far Cry 2 trailer above still manages to be thoroughly entertaining and has everything you’d expect to see from one of the year’s most anticipated shooters — lots of bad guys to kill, lots of things to blow up, and the protagonist being most effective at doing both. The trailer goes deeper than that and also shows off some of the various characters the player will meet as they progress, but it’s good to see that the thing we’ll be doing the most, ie kicking ass across Africa, seems to be just as, if not more, enjoyable as causing mayhem on the tropical islands of the first game.
