Mirror’s Edge trilogy confirmed, level editor for sequel?
BY Lee Bradley Oct. 14th, 2008 More on:

The first game isn’t even out yet but EA DICE is already planning on a Mirror’s Edge trilogy. In an interview with Ausgamer, Senior Producer Owen O’Brien reveals that, “The story we’re doing is kind of a trilogy, a three-story arc. For these first couple games, it’s all about Faith. It’s about her experience of the world.”

He goes on to suggest there may even be more Mirror’s Edge games beyond that. “I think the world we have created, the city and the culture and the environment, is almost as interesting or more interesting than any one individual story. There’s a lot of scope to take the story in different directions, or maybe tell someone else’s story.”

But wait, Owen’s not finished casually dishing out the announcements yet! On the subject of a level editor he had this to say, “The thing is, the game is so easy to play and intuitive, that creating a level editor is a skill in itself. If we do it we want to make the editor as easy to use and intuitive as the game is. It’s something we will probably look at for the sequel.” Looks like Mirror’s Edge has a lot riding on it. But is it really going to be that good? Judge for yourself when it arrives on Nov. 11 in America and Nov. 14 in Europe.
