The year is 2008 and the status of ‘exclusive’ titles that are in development for one console or the other is quickly going the way of the dinosaur, bad 80’s hairstyles, fannie packs, or all of the above. Microsoft has long made it known that they have had more than a passing interest in a few key titles that were only previously available on Sony platforms, one being the Final Fantasy franchise which they managed to notch under their belt, the other being the Tekken series which they have recently locked down, and lastly Konami’s Metal Gear Solid which would complete their trifecta conquest.
Rumors have been circulating since before the game was even released for the PS3 that the game would eventually make its way to the Xbox 360, much to the dismay of loyal fans of the franchise appearing on Sony’s systems. Well, the rumors are back and in full swing thanks to Japanese stock investor Morningstar who spoke with Konami public relations rep Yoshitaka Arai at the Tokyo Game Show this week. “The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version (of MGS4) is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to,” Arai said.
Is this a just too good to be true or is Arai just fanning the fires and blowing smoke up our woo woo’s? Who knows, but I’d put the safe money on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots complete with special achievements coming to an Xbox 360 near you in the future.

@Kev
they were talking about making a 360 version in the dev’s podcast probably 6-8 months before it was ever released.
The whole “only possible on PS3″ was a marketing shtick. The largest hurdle to get it onto 360 is just the HD FMV for sheer space requirement. If they simply put the vids on in SD it would easily fit on a single DVD. But that would be downgrading the game. So if it does come out, expect it to be something like 4 or 5 discs.
