Rumor / Capcom preparing to re-up on Strider |

Capcom has been, hands down, one of the most prolific and financially successful developers this generation. Sure, the company has struck gold with their decision to have all their major releases go multiplatform, along with the fact that Monster Hunter for PSP has given them a class A license in printing currency. But Capcom might have found a new formula for success with their foray into their retro classics.
Although no official numbers were given out, word on the street is that the numbers for Bionic Commando Rearmed (along with the initial ones for Mega Man 9) were so good that Capcom is already looking to give another old franchise the “now-gen” remake. No, it’s not anything related to Street Fighter II, but rather Strider, as reported by EGM’s resident gossip guru the Quartermann.
Capcom hasn’t said anything or even alluded to this being on the radar, so don’t get your hopes up just yet. But just keep it locked here, as we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one. Now, if we can only get them to get cracking on Marvel vs. Capcom 3, then the gaming world will be a much better place.

Yeah, that and including Strider in the next Smash Bros game.

I can honestly say that the HD Remix treatment could convince me to buy just about any of their old classics. Especially if the quality is as good ad BC:Rearmed. Would love Strider. Any, no ALL iterations of Street Fighter/Marvel/Capcom/Darkstalkers/X-Men etc. Megaman, Final Fight, Ghosts and Goblins, Breath of Fire… I think I just made a mess in my pants.
