Sony slips in recovery menu with firmware 2.50
BY Jeremy Hill Oct. 18th, 2008 More on:

Sometimes I just don’t know why some features of firmware updates are never spoken of by Sony. Perhaps they’re supposed to be little Easter eggs to get us all excited once we find it ourselves. As far as easter eggs go, the new recovery menu has to be the tastiest. By pressing and holding down the power button on the PS3, the system will beep 3 times and display the menu. This could be a solution to potential mishaps during firmware updates or if someone manages to mess up their configuration by mistake. This has been your ThatVideoGameBlog.com public service announcement, thank you.
