Gamers faced with the decision on whether to buy Eidos’ upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld for either the PS3 or Xbox 360 may have been given a slight incentive by Crystal Dynamics as to which system to purchase the game for.
Eric Lindstrom creative director for Crystal Dynamics told VideoGamer in a recent interview, that the upcoming DLC for the game was made “especially” for the Xbox 360, increasing the games play-through by a whopping 6 extra hours. Lindstrom goes on record to say, “The DLC that we’re making for Microsoft is especially made. It’s not part of the main game that we saved - we put all the game out there that we were going to put out there.”
The content will come in the form of two separate downloads labeled “Beneath the Ashes” and “Lara’s Shadow,” with the former being available before Christmas. Now the only question that remains is, was this done as a formal request by Microsoft (cha-ching!) or by the discretion of Crystal Dynamics? (Ed. I feel because of the above image I must add this: breasticles).
