360 set to outsell its predecessor by January
BY Ricardo BiltonOct. 27th, 2008 More on:

Shipping results from July to September of this year reveal that Microsoft has shipped 22.5 million iterations of the Xbox 360 since its release, leaving the console quite close to topping the paltry 24.7 million units the original Xbox shipped. The 360 has already outshipped the GameCube and is well on its way to topping the numbers held by both the Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64.

Coupled with the 8.1:1 games to console ratio that the Xbox 360 currently touts, a number that is certain to grow with the upcoming holiday season, Microsoft is certainly riding high.
