Get ready for a new Elder Scrolls game in 2010
BY Jeremy Hill Oct. 29th, 2008 More on:

Part of being a successful business is constantly looking towards the future. Even though Fallout 3 came out yesterday, Bethesda is already working on a new title in the Elder Scrolls series. There is virtually nothing known about the game right now besides that there is a possibility we’ll be playing it in a couple years. Publishing executive for Bethesda, Paul Oughton, spoke with Gamesindustry.biz about the company’s plans regarding the Elder Scrolls franchise.

“At the moment we’ve got Fallout 3 for this year and potentially there’s a new Elder Scrolls title in 2010,” said Oughton. “At the moment we’re not that interested in the Wii. We’re going to stick to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We’ll continue to pursue three or four titles a year and go for big titles.”

It’s not that Oughton doesn’t like Nintendo, it’s just that he feels that Nintendo has created a market for casual games that is so severe the market may be reaching its saturation point. The goal here is to take it slow and knock it out of the park with Bethesda developed games. I’d say go for it, Bethesda has a pretty good track record so far.
