Today is Election Day in the good old US of A, citizen gamers, so let’s get out and vote first thing. Once we’re all done deciding the future of the nation, we can treat ourselves to all sorts of new downloadable goodies, twenty of which are free. Yes, F-R-E-E, as in “costing no money.” Great music, great games and free content? What a country!

Getting a hold of this Bonus 20 Pack is an easy, breezy process. Simply check the back of the Rock Band 2 manual for a printed 16-character code, then visit http://www.rockband.com/bonustracks and input the code along with a valid email address. A short time later, another code will arrive via email, this one for use with the LIVE Marketplace or the PlayStation Network. All that’s left after that is to redeem, download and enjoy! A quick note on the pack, though: the tracks are from relatively unknown artists from across the world, so keep the mind and the ears open. There are a few familiar faces, of course, like Dhani Harrison’s Thenewno2, Vegas emo rockers The Cab and then Shaimus, a fan-favorite band from the original Guitar Hero.

If twenty completely free songs somehow aren’t enough, don’t go burning a flag or anything. Keep patriotic with the aptly-timed Presidents of the United States of America Pack, featuring “Dune Buggy,” “Feather Pluckn” and “Ladybug.” Players can expect more of what makes their “Lump” special: catchy, humorous lyrics and a few strings missing! For those uninterested in the Presidents - those people are called “domestic terrorists” - two singles from two upcoming albums should do the trick: “I Don’t Care” from Fall Out Boy’s Folie à Deux and “Use Me” from Hinder’s Take It to the Limit. The latter record should actually be available on Election Day.
