Contest / Win Quantum of Solace on 360, PS3 or Wii |

Having just completed Quantum of Solace on the 360 I can tell you that without a doubt it might be one of the greatest games to win in the world. I say this not because it’s so amazingly good that you have to own it, but because while it is an enjoyable game, putting money down on it over the myriad of other fantastic titles coming out this holiday season is something only die hard Bond fans should do. So what a perfect game to win. You get to experience the next step in the Bond franchise without having to put down your hard earned cash.
We have three copies of the game on 360, one on the PS3 and one on the Wii and we’re giving them all away in a grand fashion. There’s a few things Bond is known for: women, gadgets and drinking. Since women in gaming aren’t always in great supply and we can’t force you to send us awesome gadgets we’re going to go with the drinking part of Bond’s character for this contest. In the new Bond films Bond creates the Vesper (three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel are the original instructions.) It’s a good drink, but maybe there are better ones out there, whether they be alcoholic or not. So tell us your favorite drink, we’ll pick the best ones (possibly test them) and reward the games to the winners. You can enter either in the comments below or in the Community Discussions post for the contest.
Remember to tell us if the drink is shaken or stirred.

I’m not winning anything, but I’ll get the party started. There’s not much that beats a Fidel Castro on a hot summer evening; 1/3 of Cuban Rum and 2/3 of Ginger Ale. Finish with a squeezed lime fruit.

* 1 1/2 oz Jägermeister
* 1 1/2 oz Peach schnapps
* Fill with Cranberry juice
Try it before you judge, cuz it’s off the chain!

The Moscow Mule
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Smirnoff vodka
- 3 oz. ginger beer
- 1 tsp. sugar syrup (preferably mint syrup)
- 1/4 oz. lime juice
- 1 sprig mint
- 1 slice lime
Originally this drink was made in a copper mug, but a high-ball glass will work fine. Pour vodka over ice. Add sugar syrup and lime juice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with mint sprig and lime slice.

The Outlaw
- 4 parts 100% Cranberry Raspberry Juice
- 1 part Sprite Zero
- 1 part Vodka
I almost always have the different parts of this around the house so I end up making it when the In-laws are coming over to keep myself sane.

I came across this one accidentally one time.
The Mountain Dew
- 2 parts Trader Joe’s sparkling limeade
- 1 part Limoncello
I swear, it tastes just like Mountain Dew with a weird aftertaste.
As far as my favorite drink, it’s probably just a traditional dry martini. Not exactly creative on my part, but…
Fill a shaker with ice and a splash of vermouth. Shake around and then discard the excess vermouth. Fill the shaker with Bombay Sapphire dry gin, shake until cool, pour into chilled martini glass, and add two olives. Voila.

I’m pretty traditional and don’t get into mixed drinks, but here are a few Bond-themed drinks:
The “OO7” - This drink is darn tasty and has ingredients based on Bond’s famous number.
1 part - Orange Juice
1 part - OVAL Vodka (or Orange Vodka)
1 part - 7-Up
The “Dr. Christmas Jones” - Perfect drink for the holidays!
1.5 oz - Peppermint Schnapps
8-12 oz - Hot Chocolate
Top off with whipped cream… or Denise Richards.
The “Honey Rider” - A drink named after the first true “Bond Girl” and paying homage to her famous rise out of the tropical waters.
1 oz - Coconut Rum
1.5-2 oz - Pineapple Juice
1 tsp - Cherry Juice
The “Royale Flush” - Named for the famous poker hand and Casino Royale.
1.5 oz - Crown Royal
1 oz - Peach Schnapps
0.5 oz - Chambord Rasberry Liquer
1 oz - Cranberry Juice
Mix over ice.
The “Auric Goldfinger” - A powerful shot named after the classic villain.
1 oz - Goldschlager
1 oz - Jagermeister
The “Prairie Oyster” - This is an actual drink/hang over cure mentioned by Bond in Thunderball; the only “official” Bond drink on my list.
1 - Whole Egg
2 - Asprin
1 tsp - Worcestershire Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Tabasco Sauce
Crack the whole egg into a glass (careful not to split the yolk), then add: 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 dashes of Tabasco sauce, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Wash down the two Aspirin with this drink in a single gulp.
