What would you buy with 500,000 Microsoft Points? |

Most people, at some point in their lives, fantasize about what it would be like to win the lottery. Significantly fewer people fantasize about what it would be like to win 500,000 Microsoft Points. Makes sense, right? Last time we checked, you couldn’t use digital currency to buy a house, a car, or even the ridiculously overpriced hard drive you would need to house your digital wares.
You could, however, use half a million Microsoft Points to purchase all Rock Band DLC for the foreseeable future. If that sounds like an interesting proposition, perhaps you should consider entering Microsoft’s New Xbox Experience Download & Win sweepstakes. You can get all of the details at the link, but just know that contest entry involves downloading a free NXE Download & Win gamer pic and then purchasing Xbox LIVE Marketplace content from one of the following categories: Movie, TV Show, Full Arcade Game, Xbox Originals, Game Add-On, or Music Video.
Better get moving, though, as you’ll need to download the gamer pic before Nov. 19 so you can make your Marketplace purchase between Nov. 19 and Nov. 23.

Thanks for the link. All of the Rock Band DLC would be nice. As well as every XBLA & XNA game that looks 1/2 way decent.

I’ve probably spent that much ALREADY on Rock Band DLC, so another batch couldn’t hurt!

So when they are giving away points the whole MS Point to real money conversion thing actually hurts them. 500,000 MS Points is actually $6250, which sounds more impressive to me.
