Print Version of Electronic Gaming Monthy might be on the cutting block
BY Ricardo Bilton Nov. 20th, 2008 More on:

With American magazine publisher Ziff Davis announcing yesterday that it was giving the print version of PC World the (financial) boot come rumblings that Electronic Gaming Monthly might meet the same fate. Rising costs, coupled with decreased advertising revenue prompted Ziff Davis’s decision to discontinue publishing a print version of PC World. If EGM follows the same path it would exist solely in the online sphere, likely being absorbed into the already extant 1UP.com domain.

Whether this situation will come to a fruition remains to be seen, as Ziff Davis plans to make a final decision by the end of the year. Either way, it remains a weary time for many magazine publishers.
